Girl of the Week

Girl of the Week: Razia Opal

It’s not often a girl makes me stop in my tracks. A hot guy yes, but generally girl ogling is reserved for only the most put-together and chic in the city. Without shame, I admit Our Girl of the Week RAZIA OPAL deserved my attention. Perfectly polished, this interior decorator who previously studied fashion had a designer personality to match. Forget about diamonds, we think opals are where it’s at.

What are you wearing: A blouse and skirt I just bought in Paris by Reiss, Fendi belt, Chanel purse, Chanel cuff, panther ring from my friend who is a jeweller in India and my favourite Louis Vuitton suede, platform peeptoes.

If you want to feel like a hot girl, you put on: My tightest skinny jeans and a pair of my sexy high heels or boots – either my Zanotti’s or Sergio Rossi’s. I have a large collection of boots since it rains in Vancouver a lot.

Where in the world do you like to shop: You can find anything in Paris; it’s some of the best shopping in the world. My new favorite is a line called Manoush that I found [there].

Most exotic purchase:
Recently, it would have to be a Gucci studded and fringed, blue suede handbag.

On your wish list: It’s a toss up between a zippered YSL clutch and a wood and stone Fendi clutch.

For a much anticipated date: I would wear my Beaute lipgloss in If; the perfect pink, nude colour – I’m addicted to it. Also, the Michael Kors bronzing, shimmer stick for my legs, but most importantly the highest, sexiest heels I own.

Tip for achieving the polished look: Whatever you’re wearing, you need a good pair of shoes – preferably heels. You could look amazing, but if you [are wearing] really worn shoes it just kills the look. I always checkout people’s shoes, male or female; you can tell a lot about a person.

What would you tell someone who says fashion is not important: You are what you wear. To me fashion is an expression of you.

The best style tip you ever received: To accessorize; whether it’s a belt or heels or a cuff, it can give a regular outfit an edge and set yourself apart.

Your fashion dare for Style Spy girls. Why don’t they:
Experiment with colour. Most people stick to black, but don’t be afraid to stand-out.

Shameless cash-saving beauty trick: Using Keri lotion. My grandmother has always used it and she has amazing skin; so soft.

Guilty pleasure: Anything Chanel. I just love it but, it is my weakness. Oh and tall men with blue/green eyes.

Fave magazines: Elle and Marie Claire.

  1. That skirt is to-die-for and LOVE the outfit!

  2. I am completely in love with this profile on Razia Opal!!

  3. She looks great and I can relate to her weakness for anything Chanel. My only complaint is that this GOTW loves her labels (Reiss isn’t a luxury brand but is still pretty pricey in Canadian dollars when you do the price conversions), so it’s not necessarily the most relatable GOTW profile for a lot of Style Spy readers. Nevertheless, I do admire how polished and put-together she looks here.
