Buffer Zone

It’s that time of year again when cold temperatures and indoor heaters zap the moisture out of your skin. I stop dry flaky skin in its tracks by regularly buffing and sloughing off dead skin cells with a decadent and sweet smelling scrub. Here are a few favorites of mine that I’ve used over the years and some new ones I’m dying to try like Origins Modern Friction for Body and Kiehl’s Soy Milk & Honey body polish. The way my skin feels so smooth and supple after a quick buff and polish makes the dry winter air a little more tolerable.

  1. A body scrub is a must-have for me. I use one from Bath and Bodyworks, but the Bliss and Kiehl’s ones sound good! I also love the smell of Laura Mercier’s Creme Brulee. Great picks Jan!

  2. oh my god I just bought the clarisonic mia yesterday and I am in love with it! You can also buy attachments and use it on your body but I’m going to just use it for my face. I always have bad breakouts during the winter and really dry flaky skin no matter how much I manually exfoliate or put on moisturizer. This morning, my skin feels like butter and a lot of my acne is gone or smaller!
