Meet Girl of the Week, JENNIFER LEE. She is wearing the perfect summer outfit; a floral dress with a denim jacket. I loved her accessories as well, especially her cute bag! A UBC psychology student who spends her spare time hanging out with friends, dragonboating and even volunteers on a local distress line (how awesome is that?) She loves bargain shopping, but has discovered her favourite accessories in her mom’s closet (who apparently keeps everything). Ladies, meet Jennifer.
Wearing…Floral drawstring dress from the Gap, Black belt that I wore as a kid (my mom really keeps everything), brown leather boots from Aldo, Scarf from AE, light wash jean jacket from AE, mini saddle bag from my mom’s closet.
My personal style is…Constantly evolving, because I dress according to my mood and Vancouver’s bipolar weather. Sometimes I lean toward fun colours, flirty prints and structured pieces, and other times toward something more tomboyish and relaxed.
Wish list…Laura Mercier oil-free tinted moisturizer, a new bikini, and I’m still on the hunt for an awesome oversized clutch!
Most recent purchase…Black Ray Ban Clubmasters.
Beauty must-haves…Too-Faced Shadow Insurance, Nars Orgasm, an oil-free face lotion with SPF 20 or above, MAC sheer pressed powder.
Going out outfit…A blazer overtop of a fitted printed dress with some volume on the bottom, a chunky necklace, and a killer pair of black or neutral suede pumps.
Staples…Converses, v-necks, a black blazer, a great pair of dark and medium-wash skinnies, an awesome scarf collection.
Every girl should have…Aerie Undies. I know that’s plural but seriously they are the cutest everyday underwear you will find for reasonable quality and value. They’re the best.
Summer essentials…Sunblock, bikinis and flip flops, an iPod-full of chill tunes, shades, funky-coloured nail polish, a BBQ.
Can’t live without…Lip gloss or chapstick. I always have at least two on me at all times (usually more..) and my friends tease me about it all the time. I like lips to look luscious!
Restaurants of choice…The Foundation’s great for hanging out with a small group of close friends. They’ve got awesome nachos there. Aki on Thurlow near Robson, serves a killer udon soup and black cod. Guu’s great too for sharing with friends. Gotta love the yelling between the kitchen and wait staff.
Top tunes…I can’t name three favourites off the top of my head, but the last 3 songs that played on my iPod were Kids -MGMT, You and I -Ingrid Michaelson, and Starlight – Muse
