Handbag Lust
I don’t know what Aldo is doing different lately, but whatever they’re doing; they need to keep doing it. I’ve seriously been falling in love with every new shoe and purse each time I browse their new arrivals online (which is more frequently than I’d like to admit). Right now their handbags are holding the key to my heart. The designs are really classic, girly, and look much more expensive than they actually are. I love how fresh and neutral the colours are for spring. Now my only problem is choosing which one I’ll take home!

It’s interesting looking at these designs because Aldo has basically taken design elements from high-end bags and done “inspired by” versions. The closure and top handle on #1 are reminiscent of the Hermes Kelly; the quilting and chain strap detail on #2 look Chanel-esque; the double buckle satchel silhouette on #3 harkens back to the Proenza Schouler PS1 or the Mulberry Alexa; and #4 looks Valentino-ish.
In other news, I think I spend too much time looking at handbags.
Nice eye Lisa! You are certainly right on all of those. I do love Aldo’s ability to give me high-end “inspirations” for cheap and all of these are spot-on!
