Stock Up On Stationary
One of my favourite things to do is shop for pretty stationary. From notebooks to cards to sticky post-its. It’s always a good idea to have some set-aside, whether you have a last minute birthday party (perfect gift) or need to write a card (I’m a huge fan of thank you cards – everyone appreciates a hand-written note).
Dreams of Paris? A Tiffany blue J’Adore notebook from Chapters $14 CAD.
I love motivational quotes, they give you that extra lil’ kick you need sometimes. Quotable Journals $19.95 CAD, 200 lined pages.
An adorable baking themed hardcover spiral notebook from Winners $5.99 CAD. A perfect gift for someone who loves to bake (or eat) cupcakes.
I always have brightly coloured blank cards on hand. These ones from Winners $6.99 CAD are flat panel (like a postcard), in different shapes (zig zag edge, rounded scallop, etc.). All the colours are complimentary so you can mix and match. At 50 cards & envelopes, you’re looking at 7 cents a piece! There’s no excuse not to write a card. I also like to add stamps and stickers when I’m using plain cards like this.
Andy Warhol sticky notes $5.99 CAD take the standard yellow post-it and make it pretty. In different sizes and patterns. Whether you’re leaving a note for your boyfriend or hubby before you head out of the house or for your office mate (lunch at noon?) – the note will be more warmly accepted.
