Industry Insider: Kiran Khaira

We’ve known KIRAN KHAIRA for quite a few years. So it was long overdue to profile this girl-on-the-go. She’s the Special Events Manager at The Bay Vancouver, the girl that throws all the fashion and beauty events – sounds fabulous doesn’t it? Curious what she does on a typical day? Kiran snapped shots via Instagram and kept a little diary of her day. Follow her now…

Today is our Spring Trend Report event with Suzanne Timmins, the Bay’s Fashion Director. It’s going to be a busy day, so let’s get started.

Last look at the pull and the styling is amazing. It’s our “Sport Luxe” trend rack, we’ve got Pink Tartan, Rachel Rachel Roy, Pringle of Scotland, Jason Wu and Armani Exchange.

Busy feet (in style)! I just love the bows on Monika’s Tory Burch shoes – Monika is our new Special Events Coordinator. Mine are the leopard prints.

Controlled chaos backstage. Models are in makeup with NARS. NARS customized each look based on Suzanne’s top trends for spring: the New Lady, Summer Nomad, Sport Luxe, Print Works and Embrace Colour. The “it” lip colour this season is Heat Wave, we used this colour through most of the trends.

Heading over to tag Suzanne’s top picks, so people can shop right off the racks. My watch is Marc by Marc Jacobs. My rings are from Tiffany’s – I’m obsessed with everything Tiffany’s.

Going over the run of show with Suzanne. She is excited and ready to start.

Models wearing the season’s hottest trend, Embrace Colour!

More glamorous models in the NEW LADY trend. Cat-eyed sunnies perfect this look!

It’s almost show time. LOVE Suzanne’s Erdem pants from the Room!  Suzanne’s fabulous shoes are Charlotte Olympia, also from the Room.

Next look up, EMBRACE COLOUR.

The finale. Months of planning and it’s almost over.

And that’s a wrap!

We’re constantly hosting events, next-up, Topshop Late Pastel Party. Hope to see you there!
