Girl of the Week: Sally Hart

This week’s Girl of the Week is Sally Hart, a native Vancouverite who works on the Retail Talent Acquisition for Aritzia. Sally also attends UBC part-time finishing up her BA in Religious Studies. Work and school keep Sally pretty occupied, but her obsessions include coffee (especially eggnog lattes from Starbucks), wine, her iPhone, Drake and her general love affair with the Internet. Meet Sally.

Wearing… RayBan aviator sunglasses, a varsity jacket from Value Village, a vintage floral blazer from Community in Gastown, A Moveable Feast by Aritzia cropped sweater, Citizens for Humanity coated jeans, and Zara boots.

My personal style… I don’t like to take it too seriously, I don’t like to look too pretty, and I rarely meet a vest I don’t like.

Style inspiration… I feel pretty lucky to work with tonnes of the most stylish and smart people in Vancouver (but possibly the world) and have constant inspiration bombarding me every day. When that fails? Man Repeller.

Most recent purchase… Jeffery Campbell ‘Ruggeri’s, on sale. I laugh at arch support.

Top 3 autumn essentials… Leather, fur, and velvet.

Must-have beauty product and why… Bumble & Bumble Surf Spray because it’s the best way to pretend you’ve “done” your hair when it’s really just a mess that you put literally no effort into.

Favourite accessory… My silver Michael Kors watch.

Most memorable fashion purchase… Hands down, the time I bid on a vintage Chanel bag on eBay and got it for peanuts in the last 15 seconds of the auction. What a thrill.

Repeat buy… I have 8 of the Wilfred bustier tanks from Aritzia that I wear under everything. And vintage high-waisted mom jean cut-offs. Shorts for days.

Best way to spend the weekend… Dancing my face off. Anywhere, really. But preferably away from the crowds at my neighbourhood nightclub with tonnes of friends.

Drink of choice… Organic prosecco.

I can never say no to… See above re: the best way to spend the weekend. And fresh bread.
