Winter has been wreaking havoc on my skin, so I’ve been on the hunt for a new face moisturizer to manage during these cold winter months. After much research (I love my online reviews) and chatter (don’t be afraid to ask for help & ask the tough questions), I’ve narrowed it down to these three moisturizers and will be taking them for a test drive for combination/first signs of aging skin.
We’re all about recommendations. What skin type do you have and what moisturizer are you currently using? Josie Maran Argan Oil $18 CAD (0.5 oz), $58 CAD (1.7 oz)
Just a small drop (a little larger than the size of a dime) should do for this organic moisturizing oil. Argan oil is a source of antioxidants, vitamin E and essential fatty acids and can be used for your skin or hair. The oil comes in a few sizes including 0.5 oz – great option to see if you’ll like the product. And for those who may remember, Josie Maran was the face of Maybelline for many years.
Caudalie Pulpe Vitaminee Anti-Wrinkle Fluid $58 CAD
I’ve always people rave about the French line Caudalie for skincare and French women always look gorgeous no? I liked how the moisturizer was lightweight and absorbed quickly – I don’t like the feeling of heavy and greasy creams. It’s also light on the scent. A big plus in my books. Clinique Super Rescue Antioxidant Night Moisturizer $55 CAD Even though I switch up my moisturizer quite often, I always manage to come back to Clinique. This moisturizer is also lightweight and absorbs quickly. The tube design makes it more sanitary than a jar – although sometimes with tubes, I always wonder if I get every last bit and am wasting any product.
Sephora Tip: Ask any sales girl/guy at Sephora for a sample of any moisturizer you see. They’ll put a few pumps into a tiny container (often enough to use for a week). This will give you a good idea if the moisturizer will work with and your skin type.
