On Set with Meg Myers

On Set with Meg MyersLast weekend I got a chance to hang with the adorable up and coming musician Meg Myers on the set of her photo shoot here in Vancouver. When I wasn’t plundering the carrot sticks and vegan chocolate chip cookies, I chatted with photographer Matthew Burditt, stylist Mia Fiddis and makeup artist Bri Teranishi and asked them to share their secrets to creating Meg’s look.

Mia wanted to keep Meg, a Tennessee native, casual and dressed as close to her personal style as possible. Mia pulled looks from her local favourites Misch Boutique (one of my favourite stores), Duchesse Vintage and Gravity Pope Tailored Goods.

On Set with Meg MyersTo keep Meg’s look natural, and her skin visible, Bri started with MAC Prep + Prime Moisture Infusion, followed by her go to Giorgio Armani foundation and only a touch of powder. This combo keeps skin clear and helps create a gorgeous, dewy glow. For eyeshadow, Bri used Bobbi Brown’s Mahogany. “It’s the only shadow I have that I don’t mix, because it’s such a perfect colour on its own.” And for lipstick? “always NARS.”

On Set with Meg MyersWe can’t wait to hear what Meg has in the works for this year! Until then, check out her video for “Monster” off her EP Daughter in the Choir.
