Wearing… Madewell boots, AG denim, Burberry cardigan (borrowed from my boyfriend’s closet), wool scarf from Turkey, Wilfred belt, cableknit gloves from Vincent Park, and Persol sunglasses.
My personal style is… It really varies, I believe in dressing for my mood and the occasion. I am usually drawn to clothes by their texture and colour – right now I’m really into bright, abstract patterns, cozy knits and billowy silhouettes.
What did you have for breakfast this morning? Love Crunch granola with coconut milk and an apple.
How do you take your tea/coffee? Black. Always.
Current wish list… I’m currently lusting after a pair of Alexander Wang wedges, a Reed Krakoff boxer tote and Acne’s peach frame sunglasses. Sadly, most of these items will probably not make the transition from my wish list to my closet.
3 items in your makeup bag… Benefit’s erase paste is the best concealer I have found for my perpetual undereye circles and MAC fast response eye cream is also very handy for dealing with tired eyes. I just bought a new MAC lipstick in “Media” – it’s the perfect shade for a smoking goth-glam look.
Style secret… I don’t think this is a secret, but the main thing I consider when shopping or getting dressed is whether I’m going to be comfortable in what I’m wearing. No matter how cool or sexy I think a particular trend is, I’m not going to wear it if it will inhibit my ability to walk or breathe.
Most versatile item in your closet… The boots I am wearing in this picture. They are comfortable enough to spend hours walking in and I wear them with shorts, dresses, skirts, pants – everything!
Go-to outfit… Ankle boots, tights, shorts, and an oversized sweater topped with a thick wool scarf.
Signature scent… I just purchased my first bottle of perfume a few months ago, Dark Crystal by Versace.
Favourite local hot spots… Gastown is definitely my hood in Vancouver. My three favourite destinations for an awesome night out are: Chambar for a delicious meal, Guilt & Co. for the friendly atmosphere and live entertainment, and The Diamond for fantastic cocktails.
On the weekends you can find me… Having brunch with friends and perusing record shops. I try to make time to be active, like going snowboarding or doing yoga, but my weekend primarily revolves around relaxing and spending time with the people I love.
What’s the most random thing in your bag right now? A bottle of oil of oregano. Actually maybe that isn’t so random considering it is winter in Vancouver and everyone seems to be sick.
Top 3 songs on your iPod playlist… “Salvation” by The Limiñanas, “Killing Switch” by Last Lynx, and “Love Will Tear Us Apart” by Joy Division.
Words to live by… Life is too short, so kiss slowly, laugh insanely, love truly and forgive quickly.
