If you’re like me, Sephora trips are usually spent scoping blushes at the NARS counter, eyeliner at Urban Decay and foundation at Make Up For Ever. There are so many brands there, sometimes it feels easier to just stick with the classics. Truth is though, there are so many great products at Sephora that we usually pass by.
Here are a few things that you might be passing by that you definitely shouldn’t ignore.
Shiseido Extra Smooth Sun Protection Lotion, $38 CAD – I’ve always considered Shiseido to be kind of a momly cosmetics brand. It doesn’t seem particularly chic or cool, but man, their stuff is pretty awesome. Yeah this sunscreen is really expensive, but it’s great. Lightweight, and really good for sensitive skin. Plus, it’s really versatile. You can use it on your bod, but you can also mix it with foundation for everyday wear on your face.
Caudalie Beauty Elixer, $19 CAD – This is one of the few products I go through multiple bottles of. It’s perfect as a toner, for setting makeup or just for a refreshing spritz. Your skin will look great.
Bite Beauty Cinnamon Plumping Oil, $25 CAD – I’ve mentioned before how obsessed I am with lip plumpers, whether they work or not. I’m just really into that tingling sensation. This stuff seems to be relatively new, or at least new to Sephora. I love the cinnamon smell, and there’s absolutely no sticky hair trap gloss quality to it. Does it actually plump my lips, or am I just getting the placebo effect? I have no idea, but whatever it does, I like it.
LAVANILLA The Healthy Deodorant, $23 CAD – This deodorant is amazing and I imagine it smelling like an angel’s wings. Plus, it’s all natural. The only drawback is that it’s a deodorant, and not an anti-persperant. I go through weird phases where either I don’t sweat at all, or I sweat like a hormonal teenager just by sitting still, so I can’t use this every day. But if you’re a normal person, seriously, this is incredible. You will smell like a cupcake.
