The Perfect Fall Day, Enjoying My #FiestaMoments

I told you a little while ago that we’re partnering with Ford to bring you my #FiestaMoments. With my super hectic weekdays, I do enjoy laid backed weekends. You know, the kind where there’s nothing on the schedule, you decide as you go along. Follow me as I take my Ford Fiesta on the road.

FF9Fall is most definitely in the air. A crisp and sunny Vancouver Sunday. Love the changing of colours on the trees.

FF11Are you like me? Morning don’t really start till after coffee. A caramel macchiato to be exact with lots of whip cream – you only live once right? The Ford Fiesta conveniently features four cup holders at the front of the car. And yes, the centre console cup holders are lined with lights that can be turned on and change colours! It’s all about the details.

FF1Where did I end up at in this zippy car after hopping onto the highway from Vancouver? White Rock in British Columbia (about 45 minutes away from Vancouver), it’s close to the US border with a population of just over 18,000. It’s a quaint suburb with a beautiful beach and boardwalk – this is West Beach off a street called Marine Drive. In the summer, you’ll find it super lively with street buskers and performers.

FF2I said it was beautiful didn’t I? The perfect West Coast fall day. You’ll also find a 2.5 km long beach promenade here with a super pretty view, which is one of the reasons why West Beach is such a popular tourist destination. Don’t be surprised to find tourists wandering around snapping photos with their cameras. Selfies anyone?

FF4I like to play a game as I admire the adorable houses lining the boardwalk, which house should I live in or better yet, throw a party at? I think I’ll pick the house to the far right.

FF5Wrapped up (it’s chilly remember) and enjoying the view. Picnic tables are scattered along the beach, making it a great spot to enjoy some takeout or a packed lunch.

FF6My other favourite past-time (first being shopping, of course), eating. Fish & chips at this cute take-out window? Yes please. A few spots to consider, Charlie Don’t Surf, a long-time restaurant/bar (25 years to be exact) on the Marine Drive strip. A laid-back spot that serves up tastiness from crab cakes to craft beers. For those wanting a gelato fix, we’d hit up Dolce Gelato, it’s a family-owned gelato shop also on Marine Drive that makes its gelato fresh every day and tastes just like what you’d find in Italy – we kid you not. Our picks? Peach sorbet and pistachio.

FF7Another awesome day spent with my Ford Fiesta. Follow me throughout the year as I experience my #FiestaMoments. Check out the other bloggers across Canada who are also sharing their moments at
