Girl of the Week: The Team at 1Milk2Sugars

You may remember us profiling the public relations team at 1Milk2Sugars just under two years ago – we wanted to reintroduce you to a few familiar faces and introduce you to some new ones. Meet this week’s Girls of the Week and Na’eem, our Guy of the Week – who was a sport and still answered our “heels or flats” question.

Erin + Maxine + SophieL-R: Erinn, Maxine and Sophie

ERINN BLICHER, SENIOR ACCOUNT MANAGER

Favourite thing to wear to work?
That’s a tough question, but I’m always wearing a scarf, even summer, winter, fall, spring, always in a scarf. I’m more about accessories, I’d rather do a basic clothing palette and jazz it up with a lip or a scarf.

3 words to describe your style?
I have 4 words, “inspired by Miranda Kerr”. She’s good, she does that whole office crisp, chic thing with her Equipment blouses. She also has amazing bags all the time.

Heels or flats to work?
Flats, I can’t even lie. I’m also tall-ish.

MAXINE VIEZEL-MATHIEU, ACCOUNT COORDINATOR

Favourite thing to wear to work?
I wear a lot of black. I’m a skinny jeans, t-shirt and leather jacket kind of girl. It’s my uniform.

3 words to describe your style?
Is black a descriptive word? Black. Edgy. Not super feminine, so a little tomboyish.

Heels or flats to work?
I’m almost 6 feet tall, but I do still wear heels, especially when I commute less.

SOPHIE MARSOLAIS, PUBLIC RELATIONS INTERN

Favourite thing to wear to work?
I like to wear dresses a lot and skirts. But if it’s a colder day, I like to wear my leggings and a nice comfy sweater and I always wear my leg warmers, especially when it’s cold outside. Essentials for Montreal.

3 words to describe your style.
Simple, elegant and classy.

Heels or flats to work?
Usually in the office it’s boots. But in the summer, I’ll be wearing flats.

Lara + Na'eem + Priya 2L-R: Lisa, Na’eem & Priya

LARA TOBIN, SENIOR ACCOUNT MANAGER

Favourite thing to wear to work?
Black. You have a lot of events in PR, so black is timeless chic. You’re always in style in black and it’ll always take you from day to night. And it matches with everything. And you feel good as a woman in black, you know?

3 words to describe your style?
Just two words, boho chic.

Heels or flats to work?
Depends on the day, if I know I’m sitting at my desk all day, I like flats because I like to sit with my legs crossed, tucked underneath my tush. But if I know I have meetings, I do heels. Someone said to me a long time ago when I started in PR, “if you want to be good at PR, you have to wear flats” because you’re standing and running around so much.

NA’EEM ADAM, VICE PRESIDENT OF BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT & STRATEGY

Favourite thing to wear to work?
Denim all the time. Nike’s. Accessories, maybe a ring or watch, I like to have my pen on me all the time. Nice and basic, minimal.

3 words to describe my style?
Can I name brands? Frank & Oak and Nike. I try to be a balance between comfortable, sporty, and business because I do all three things in a day. It is uniform, all my shirts are denim, it’s comfortable. It’s your style identity.

Heels or flats to work?
Well, I mean heels are definitely a challenge, so I think flats. I like running shoes, Jordan’s, Nike’s.

PRIYA CHOPRA, PRESIDENT & FOUNDER

Favourite thing to wear to work?
My gym clothes. You caught me on a good day, three days out of the week I try to go to the gym when I don’t have meetings. The days where I just have phone calls or casual meetings in the office, I am in my gym clothes and I love being in my gym clothes. I still have my makeup on, but I don’t have to worry about my hair. I might just change my top and I’m ready to go. And that’s the good thing about having your own company and a small business cause everyone here too feels comfortable when they come to work. For me as an owner, I can wear what I want when I don’t have meetings.

3 words to describe your style?
Black. I feel comfortable in black, especially when you get older, you feel sleek and honestly after you have two kids, black has always been my staple. I like to have a refined look but a messy look at the same time. I might pair different things, like a messy bun and a refined outfit. I’m not the type to be totally done. If I’m wearing an elegant dress, I want to have a messy hair-do. I always like to have something funky with my outfits, whether it’s accessories or whatever, today it’s my accessories, it’s my jewellery. I’m an accessories girl.

Heels or flats to work?
Wedges. My winter boots are also wedge, this is my thing. Combination of both.

Natalia + TannerNatalia & Tanner

NATALIA SCULLION, SOCIAL MEDIA COORDINATOR

Favourite thing to wear to work?
All about comfort, but being able to style that comfort in your own way. So always down for loose fitted sweaters and a fur vest to keep it styled. Or a little necklace or ring, whatever adds that touch to it.

3 words to describe your style?
I love trends but I don’t always follow the trends, so I follow whatever fits for me. I’d say trendy, fun, and casual. Nothing too over the top.

Heels or flats to work?
Flats, I’m a shortie but I love my flats. You got to be able to rock your flats, cause if not, you’ll be dead by the end of the day. You got to be comfy but cute at the same time.

TANNER STANLEY, ONLINE COMMUNITY MANAGER

Favourite thing to wear to work?
I have to say black skinny jeans are my go-to. Just so easy. I often wear these very distressed military boots regardless of the season, even with shorts.

3 words to describe your style?
Yuppie, fun, loud.

Heels or flats to work?
I think we’re just going to have to say heel. I would be disappointed if I didn’t say heel.

Look out for a second post on 1Milk2Sugars next week on career advice.
