Fabulous PARTYSKIRTS in Fabulous Places: A Tour of the SKOT Apparel Girls’ Favourite Cities, Palm Springs, LA & NYC

Skot Girls - 1 Mariel & Lauren Armstrong

How many times have you had to get ready but can’t find the right thing to wear? Enter SKOT Apparel, a line developed by sisters Lauren and Mariel Armstrong that sells PARTYSKIRTS priced from $195 to $245. Their PARTYSKIRTS are voluminous silk skirts in bright colours with varying lengths, all manufactured in Vancouver. You can buy the skirts online or in Vancouver retailers LYNNsteven Boutique, Rebecca Bree and Blubird. The idea behind PARTYSKIRTS is simple – to turn everything you do into a celebration. They make any outfit look instantly glam and everything you do 10x more fun. Because how could you not have fun when you’re wearing a PARTYSKIRT and you know you look fabulous?

The girls behind SKOT Apparel lead lives that are as fabulous as their skirts. They travel a lot and we were lucky enough to catch up with them and learn about three of their favourite destinations, from Palm Springs to Los Angeles to New York, and their recommended hotspots in each.

Describe your ideal day in the city.
Sleeping in, breakfast at Cafe Gitane (make sure you get the avocado toast), a quick stop by MOMA, then shopping uptown – we always make a stop at FAO Schwarz (so fun!) and Ladurée for macaroons, lunch at Shake Shack– there is always a line but it is worth the wait, after we are ready to head back to the hotel for a disco nap. Then it is time to get ready and meet friends for a casual dinner at Bar Pitti.
